This is a small kit of parts for use in construction of cables compatible with the headers on the Oricomtech OOBOT40 controller boards. The headers on the controller boards are specifically designed for mating with multiple 3-pin and 2-pin receptacles, with 0.100" (2.54 mm) spacing. 3-pin wiring is typically signal + power + ground, compatible with Futaba-style servo connectors. This arrangement also makes for easy connection to sensors and other devices requiring +5v power. 2-pin wiring is typically signal + ground, for easy connection to external sources and end-effectors. The figure to the right shows the basic form of the connectors. It will be necessary to construct the cables using crimp and / or soldering tools. After crimping, pins are inserted into the receptacles, and can be easily removed later using a knife point to release the holding tab.
